Frequently Asked Questions

CBD is short for Cannabidiol - it is one of the many cannabinoids in the Cannabis sativa plant. It has no intoxicating properties and enormous therapeutic potential, for your mind and body.

The plant Cannabis sativa has two primary species, hemp and marijuana. Both contain CBD, but there's a much higher percentage in hemp. The CBD products sold on contain CBD derived from industrial Hemp.

Full spectrum means that an oil or product contains all the cannabinoids that are naturally occurring in the cannabis plant. Quality full spectrum CBD products are typically high in CBD, with only trace amounts of minor cannabinoids, and very low in THC (less than 0.3%). Despite these relatively low amounts, the overall composition is considered “full spectrum” and is synonymous with the “entourage effect” – which refers to the increased effectiveness of these products due to the different cannabinoids working synergistically. On the other hand, CBD Isolate is just the purest form of CBD molecule, does not contain any other cannabinoids.

The short answer is no.

The long answer is only slightly more complex. When you experience (or hear about) a ‘high’ from ingesting Cannabis, there are two components of the plant at work, Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD). The THC is psychoactive and gives you the ‘high’, the CBD isn’t psychoactive and gives you the ‘chill’ feeling.
